Our Club was organized as the Spokane Kiwanis Club with 84 members on August 1, 1920 and at the time Kiwanis International had 287 chartered clubs. The club was chartered on December 9, 1920 and was the 10th club to be chartered in the Pacific Northwest District, and the first east of the Cascades.

As one of many Kiwanis Clubs in the Pacific Northwest District of Kiwanis International,  the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Spokane strive to help the children and youth of our community to better themselves so they can grow and become a good citizen and asset to themselves, their families, and our community. We are part of the Spokane Area Division 46 of Kiwanis Clubs.
